抄録
Earthquake resistance of pile foundations constructed in the composite ground which was formed using the deep mixing method for the purposes of improving shear strength in soft ground was verified by a two-dimensional nonlinear dynamic finite element analysis. It was revealed from the analysis that the displacements of the pile foundations and the strain of pile bodies are restrained by the composite ground around the piles、 and that the earthquake resistance of the pile foundations is improved. It was also found that the earthquake resistance of pile foundations depends on the improved soil strength、 improved width and improved depth of the composite ground. The composite ground pile method is applicable for both Level 1 and Level 2 earthquake loadings.
