In response to calls for a recycling-oriented society、 technology has been developed for [*]effectively utilizing coal ash generated by coal-fired power plants as a material for civil [*]engineering works. However、 leaching of hazardous substances from some ash exceeds the [*]Japanese standards for environmental soil quality. This means that some types of coal ash [*]cannot be used as a soil material as they are. We examined whether it is possible to reduce [*]leaching by solidifying coal ash. In the examination、 the leaching of hazardous substances [*]was measured for coal ash solidified after mixing with water and blast furnace cement B [*]and for coal ash solidified after mixing only with water. [*]Also、 the change in leaching of hazardous substances over time was measured. [*]The examination found that there are cases in which the leaching of hazardous substances [*]was reduced to within the environmental standard、 and that some types of coal ash meet the [*]environmental standard and can be used as soil material after solidification. It was also [*]found that the leaching of some hazardous substances changes over time. |
