IIt is possible to construct a series of improved columns vertical to soft ground at a depth of 3 to 10 meters、 using the trencher mixing method. The number of construction projects using this method has increased dramatically in recent years. As peaty soft ground is distributed extensively in Hokkaido、 Japan、 the trencher mixing method is attracting attention as a measure for dealing with problems inherent in soft ground.[*]In this study、 soft ground improved by the trencher mixing method was examined at several sites in Hokkaido for the purpose of correctly evaluating the status of the improved ground. The study consisted of evaluations of collected cores (RQD)、 strength distribution in the depth direction、 The variation in strength of the improved ground based on unconfined compressive strength (defective rate、 coefficient of variation)、 relationship between the on-site and laboratory strength and the quality control. |
