This paper deals with a reasonable construction method of pile foundation in soft ground or ground subject to liquefaction、 in which prior to constructing piles、 the ground is improved around the pile heads、 and this method was referred as composite ground pile method. In order to verify the earthquake resistance of pile foundation in composite ground、 the horizontal subgrade reaction characteristics of the composite ground to the pile foundation was investigated through a series of static and dynamic centrifuge model tests. In the static tests、 horizontal loading of the pile was carried out before and after shaking with different level of earthquake motion、 the effects of strong earthquake motion on the pile and surrounding improved ground were analyzed. In the dynamic shaking tests、 seismic response of the pile foundation was confirmed under different level of earthquake motion、 and the sufficient earthquake resistance of pile in compositeground was validated. |
