In this paper、 in order to gain basic knowledge of the dynamic response characteristics of rockfall protection galleries、 falling-weight impact tests of the small size frame-slab type reinforced concrete (RC) structures were conducted and the impact-resistant behavior was investigated. Also、 to establish the prediction method for accumulated damage and residual load-carrying capacity of the structures under repeated impact loading、 a three-dimensional elasto-plastic FE analysis method was proposed. Its applicability is discussed by comparing with the experimental results. The following results are obtained from this study: (1) under impact loading、 the structures reach the ultimate state in the punching shear-failure mode; and (2) accumulated damage of the galleries can be rationally evaluated by using the time history of deflection and crack patterns obtained by applying the proposed numerical analysis method. |
