This paper describes review of three landslides in a mountain region to the west of Sapporo on Hokkaido Island in Japan. The region which is located on the north of northeast Japan island arc exposes late Cenozoic volcaniclastic rocks and lava. The region also holds six active volcanoes. The region which corresponds to Shakotan-Niseko-Orofure region of Yamagishi and Ito (1993) causes many landslides based on cap-rock structure of volcaniclastic rocks and lava. Fisrt、 Muine landslide along route 230 moved to river in 2001. Secondly、 the sign of movement appeared at Kamikubonai landslide along route 453 in 2006. It just keeps moving. Thirdly、 lahar came out of crators and flooded rivers while Usu Volcano erupted in 2000.
