The On-netoh bridge is being constructed in the East of Hokkaido to replace the existing bridge，using the Menshin design which employs lead rubber bearings．Is October，1994，the Hokkaido Toho-oki Earthquake with magnitude of 8.1 occurred and strong motion records were obtained from seismographs installed in the bridge．This paper presents the seismic response characteristics of the bridge with a Menshin design during the Hokkaido Toho-oki Earthquake，and the analysis of acceleration records measured at the On-netoh bridge．
