抄録
The estimation method of the pollutant propagation in rivers is developed，which is based on a non-uniform flow calculation method and a diffusion equation．In this method，the dispesion coefficient is an important element that reflects the concentration of pollutants in flow mechanisms．It was foundfrom the field surveys that the dispersion coefficient could be determined by the river width-depth ratio．[*]This ，method was applied to the reproduction of the actual pollution accident in the rivers to verify the method．Simulation reslts clearly show that the calculated flow time and concentration of pollutant compare favorably with those of field measurements with sufficient accuracy．
