This paper describes a study through a hull-scale weight drop test and dynamic analysis that were carried out for a new type of rock shed having a steel-concrete composite atructure that consists of top and bottom steel plates connected with bolts with concrete in between. The study revealed that the new type of rock shed expec te dtoprovide greater impact resistance and contribute to lower construction cost due to weight reduction and work streamlining that RC/PC conventional rock-shed stuctures. |
